Our mission
What are recommended outdoor wellness activities in Ireland?
Our beautiful green country offers two premier outdoor wellness activities:
Hiking: Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way and Wicklow Mountains provide stunning trails for all fitness levels, offering fresh air, scenic views, and natural stress relief.
Indoor Sauna Sessions: Traditional Finnish saunas combined with Laoise’s crisp outdoor air create the ultimate wellness experience. Hot sauna sessions followed by cool Irish air boost circulation, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality.
Book your sauna session to experience this perfect blend of heat therapy and Ireland’s natural beauty for complete mind-body wellness.
How many calories do 30 minutes in the sauna burn?
A 30-minute sauna session burns approximately 150-300 calories, similar to a moderate walk. The exact amount depends on your body weight, sauna temperature, and individual metabolism.
The heat causes your heart rate to increase to 100-150 beats per minute, mimicking light cardiovascular exercise. Heavier individuals typically burn more calories, with some burning up to 400 calories in 30 minutes.
Book your sauna session online to experience this effortless calorie burn while enjoying deep relaxation, improved circulation, and stress relief.
What is your lost and found policy?
We maintain a lost and found service for items left during sauna sessions. However, we cannot be held responsible for valuable items including jewellery, electronics, or personal belongings.
Important: Our sauna safety rules prohibit jewellery and electronic devices inside the sauna for your safety and equipment protection. We recommend leaving valuables at home or in your car.
You can read more about our safety rules here.
Any items found will be held for 30 days before disposal. Contact us immediately if you’ve lost something during your visit.
What should I bring to a sauna session?
You only need to bring a few essentials for your sauna session:
Required items:
Clean towel to sit on, water bottle for hydration and a sauna hat to protect your head from heat.
Optional: Flip-flops or sandals for walking to/from the sauna, and a second towel for drying off afterward.
Jewellery, electronics, perfumes, and lotions – these are prohibited for safety and can interfere with the sauna experience.
We provide a clean, safe environment with all necessary facilities. Just bring the basics and prepare to unwind. Book your sauna session now and let Ireland’s fresh air enhance your traditional wellness experience.
Are germs killed in a sauna?
Yes, sauna temperatures of 70-100°C (158-212°F) effectively kill most bacteria, viruses, and germs on contact. The high heat and dry environment create hostile conditions for harmful microorganisms, making saunas naturally antimicrobial spaces.
Regular sauna use also boosts your immune system by increasing white blood cell production and improving circulation (read study), helping your body fight off infections naturally.
The combination of heat sterilisation and immune system benefits makes sauna sessions in Laois an excellent choice for maintaining good health year-round.
Is it better to go to the sauna before or after a workout?
If you’re doing intense training or heavy lifting, we recommend go to the sauna after your workout. The heat can make you feel sluggish and affect your performance if you go before.
However, a brief 5-10 minute sauna session before lighter workouts can help warm up your muscles and increase flexibility. Just keep it short and stay hydrated.
Is there parking available and how do I find the spot?
